Luckily i'm italian so i can reply to him

He is having a problem with Rosetta, BOINC download the WUs, crunch them for 20-30seconds and then get a Computation Error
Doing an Update will just download new WU that will error too

Appreciate the comments. I have been crunching since early on in SETI@Home so I am aware of some of the things posted. I am set to max 50% CPU when in use and 90% when idle. What happens is when I break out of the SS it takes a while for it to restore my desktop. I have gotten frustrated since this is my work machine and I have things to do so I shutdown the Rosetta process using taskman and it restores right away. Does that make a little more sense? The relinquishing is the problem not the CPU load.

What about setting 100% CPU use and use the option to turn off the monitor in Power Settings?

Rosetta crunch faster if you keep the graphic CLOSED! Cause if it is open, the cpu must also compute it, if you close it, there is more power for Rosetta (of course this apply to all other projects)

But if the accepted energy is negative its working slower, so why its better ^^

You are wrong, the "accepted energy" is a number that refer to the energy used by the protein to fold in this model

Lower energy is required-->more easily the protein will fold in this model

And the number can be negative, the minimum isn't 0

So less energy means a good model

As you can see here and in my results, 80% of my work units were reported correctly and with success but I received no credits.

Why that? Can you help me?

Thanks in advance.
8) Questions and Answers : Wish list : Credits Common System... why not? (Message 34964)

In my team we're taking part at Rosetta and other 2 projects. For joke we prepared our classifics 'bout RAC and credits and between us there's a funny rivalry.

Well, the question is: why Rosetta project give less credits (for example SETI gives 1,5 times more credits) than other projects?
I know, that's can be a stupid observation but for many people it's a "brake".

And then, why not a Credits Common System at the same level of other projects?

Thanks in advance.
