A team member just emailed me a problem..

I can't post without logging in and it doesn't recognise any email address I might have used when I signed up.

What I did was try to abort a job that produced a computational error and by mistake highlight a job that was "ready to run" was aborted by mistake. Now I can't get rid of the bugger. In the past I have removed aborted jobs simply by highlighting the job and hitting the update button for the project in question. But what I can't figure out is why they don't recognize my email address in order for me to post in the forum. I have no idea what address I used, but I've tried everyone I'm currently using so it must have been a typo. I just need a way to contact BOINC in order to find out what email address I used when I first registered.

For the manually abort WU, it will disappear eventually. :)

For getting your email address back. The only think I could think of is this:

Look in the following file:

{BOINC_INSTALL_DIR}/account_boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta.xml

In this line: <authenticator>XXXXX</authenticator> you'll get your account key. (In this case, my account key is XXXXX)

Then:

1. sign in using your account key (this page: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/login_form.php)
2. Once signed in, go to this page https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/edit_passwd_form.php and change your password
3. then go to this page https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/edit_email_form.php and change your email address.

(you might not have to do step 2 if you remember your password.)


That should work, but I haven't tried it. :)
