It's currently 4:30pm on Friday afternoon, their time. If only I could rely on that. I'm quite prepared to try it as early as possible each Friday - like at 00:05 ![]() ![]() |

I'm quite prepared to try it as early as possible each Friday - like at 00:05 Would that be GMT, or as I was taught back in the stone-ages...Zulu? Since I'm, currently, at UTC-7 soon to be UTC-8 (sometimes 9 depending), that would be OK. BTW, who had the audacity to declare Earth time to be UTC? ![]() |

I'm quite prepared to try it as early as possible each Friday - like at 00:05 Yes. The advantage to you being that it's your Thursday afternoon. The short answer to your second question is "everyone" by a convention adopted in the International Meridian Conference of 1884, Britain having developed into the most advanced maritime nation. Previously, in 1674, King Charles II of England assembled a Royal Commission to study the possibility of creating a more precise measure of longitude in order to improve ship navigation. The greater oceanic distances being traveled by trade ships meant that any inaccuracies were magnified, causing shipwrecks and other maritime disasters; an improved reference for longitude would enable better course-plotting. I know you're now glad you asked. ![]() ![]() |

Not that we've come close to running out, but I've seen the stockpile of tasks on the front page increase by 200k then another 600k recently. Currently ~1.5m Nice to see the workload getting topped up regularly. It breeds confidence. ![]() ![]() |

Home page says that there are 5 milions of wus ready to send, but the server status page is 0...Yeah, the Server Status might be showing all green, but there have been hiccups for several hours now. Waiting Validation has had a few stalls, and prior to now, Work in progress dopped off 6 hours ago for a while due to no Tasks ready to send back then. And now once again- no Tasks Ready to send, and the Tasks in progress are dropping away as work is returned, but no-one is able to get any more. Grant Darwin NT |

Now 6.5 milions on the home page!!Still not of much use if you can't get any of them. And the Server Status page hasn't updated for several hours, things aren't looking all that promising. Grant Darwin NT |

Now 6.5 milions on the home page!!Still not of much use if you can't get any of them. Is it the make_work program that makes tasks available to us? That makes it sound like it's the bwsrv1 server that's gone down while boinc-process is still up (at least until tomorrow) And the front page queued jobs is now up at almost 8 million It's all going Pete Tong... ![]() ![]() |

Pete Tong Yes, I just grabbed 6 tasks as well, so hopefully it's all fixed and we can fill our cache buffers ahead of boinc-process going down tomorrow... lol ![]() ![]() |

Pete Tong Hmm... I'm sneaking some more tasks down, but not many and the server status page is still showing zero. Not sure what's happening tbh. I can't claim it's fully fixed just yet. And the front page is now up over 8.8m queued. Not much use if they aren't made available to us ![]() ![]() |

Pete Tong The server status page from just a few minutes ago now shows a non-zero figure, even if it's only 1300 The target is usually ~5000 and fills up almost immediately, not take 7hrs to arrive at a meagre figure. It could be that those who'd run out of tasks swamped the rate they were being produced at, but the in progress number hasn't increased very much. As long as production is now exceeding demand we ought to get by without too much restriction. 8.9m queued tasks now - still creeping up ![]() ![]() |

Things are still very much broken- the amount of work In progress continues to fall, as does the number of Tasks processed per 24hrs. Heaps of work available, but no one (or pretty much no one) can get any of it. Grant Darwin NT |

Ahh yeah another Wednesday. Was just wondering why there was no task being distributed by the server this morning. |

Ahh yeah another Wednesday. Wednesdays don’t normally stop tasks being distributed, just validated and reported. |

Things are still very much broken- the amount of work In progress continues to fall, as does the number of Tasks processed per 24hrs. I'm not disagreeing, but where are you seeing that? I've just looked at Rosetta project credits on Boincstats over the last 40 days and each 7 days over the last few weeks credit 195m, 207m, 282m, 282m, 277m Or do you mean the last few days specifically? Still very few unsent on the server status page - just 188 - but now 10.8m queued on the front page I'm cutting off SiDock and WCG completely now - NNT - and giving Rosetta 100% ![]() ![]() |
