Um, this thread just vanished from the Number crunching forum...
I had to go to my account and look for posts made here to be able to find it again.
If i re-enable sticky posts, it's there at the top, but it's not coming up in the posts by date/time list.

Woohoo me too! And hey, the downtime gave me a moment to add some ram to the system and blow out all the dust :3

Cheers!

Many of you have unfortunately been affected by a recent attempt to purge spam (on Friday the 13th of all days) as we were asked by the UW IT to clean up our forums and remove spam accounts. I restored user accounts that have been deleted (and had credits) today. For those of you who have created new accounts with the same email, I changed the email to your new account so that the backed up previous account could be restored. Please let me know if there are remaining issues.

This does seem to have been fixed - thanks.

If you're still reading there are two other current issues:

1) boinc-files.bakerlab.org 128.95.160.135 and boinc-files.bakerlab.org 128.95.160.134 both have expired SSL certificates

2) the boinc-process server which runs the assimilators and validators regularly stop running.
Every week or 10 days they fail and it takes a few days to re-boot them.
Is there any way to put in a permanent fix or at least a regular (daily or even hourly) check?

I'm running Rosetta Beta on an Intel Nuc and the two latest tasks are showing up as 'Done' via boinctui and the log there says "Reporting 2 completed tasks" twice early this morning. On the Rosetta tasks page they show up as 'Timed out - no response' Will these eventually get to where they need to be, can I do something manually to get them there, or will they just be trashed as the system has them as missing the deadline?

"My account was deleted with no reason" thread was deleted? "Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /projects/boinc/rosetta/html/user/forum_thread.php on line 56"

3) Tasks that failed due to Computation Errors or which have failed validation for some other reason used to be awarded credits for work done in a subsequent daily cleanup job.
This job seems to have failed to run for something like a year and a lot of work now goes unrewarded for no fault of the affected user.
Can this job be reinstated. please?

4) Addendum to issue 2 is the front page Server Status information occasionally doesn't update - less frequently than the Computing/Server Status page but is currently frozen with info from 38hrs ago.
Regular (daily or hourly) checks required on this info too please

I have had to add

watch -n 300 ./boinccmd --project https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ update

to my Linux boxhttps://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6306257 to reliably get tasks.

I haven't got a clue how you can do that in Windows or Windows server. But several top performing Windows system running 256 cores are clearly not getting tasks reliably. The reason I am claiming this is my smaller 128 core system is currently parked at #1. That doesn't seem reasonable given the specifications of the other systems.

Respectfully,

Tom M
