Hi,

Does BOINC have core limitation? I just installed (well actually it is portable version as I have loads of issues with 'normal' one) and it uses 32 cores only.

Can anyone tell me if 'standard' version behaves same way?

I got new computer and it got many many jobs and run 100% busy until it finished all of them. Now is working half idle on 32 cores.

I have to move to folding as it supports all of my computer cores. :(

I believe all BOINC versions have a 32 core limit. But there is a setting where you can tell it to behave as though there are more CPUs than are physically available. In your case, that might result in core saturation.

You set this in your cc_config.xml in your BOINC data directory. If the file does not exist, all of the default behaviors are used.

Here is a link

I should have pointed out that the ncpus setting was what I was referring to.

Were you able to get this set up?

...new host, created today, 160 CPUs, 57,000 credits so far this afternoon...

Congratulations on your #38 world ranking, and thank you for making R@h your primary project... but #38 was "so yesterday"!
