is it still relevant today?

I remember in 2006/2007 there were some discussions about the optimal time.

What is the project's preferred setting?

My computers run 24/7 so there's no personal preference involved.

I run 2 hours. I find that "IF" a WU fails, the maximum time I would "lose" due to it failing is two hours.

As my observation 32nm cpu's run far greater effeciently than any other xeons or top quads of 45nm make. I tried to debate this fact at einstein@home forum but "the big gurus" there furuiosly blindly protecting their old tech against commonly shown fact that can be accessed by anyone at Top User Stats of any dc project website.
