I have (and I am sure I am not the only one) a grunch of completed tasks which are going to reach their reporting deadline tomorrow.

Anyone have any idea on how these tasks will be handled? Will they be discarded as late?

I'm not sure; but I hope this might be (a little) helpful:
I've managed to at least get about 70 (out of approx. 280) of my finished tasks to finally upload (and now have over 5000 pending credits) by going to the 'Transfers' tab in the Boinc Manager, clicking on various tasks, and clicking the 'Retry Now' button.

Best wishes.

The completed tasks will be valid, late or not. It's just a date.

Under normal circumstances the task would be re-issued to someone else to run if they miss the date. But these aren't normal circumstances.

How do you think this "someone else" is going to download a re-issued task under these abnormal circumstances? No-one can download anything (notwithstanding a couple of tasks getting squeezed out).

I don't know what people are worried about. This is a bigger problem for the project than it is for us - and I guess the project has a whole bunch of tasks to analyse from over the holiday period anyway.

I'm sure we'll get credit for WU's past the deadline. Once fixed, the real problem will be sending and receiving work because the server will be killed with requests for a couple of weeks before we get back to normal.
