My latest BOINC issues: Poem@home just ran out of work, which is rare! Einstein I keep watching my RAC sink like a stone, but I am sure after someone runs the same data set I did that will change. At least they publish news via BOINC alerts. They found some more pulsars. Rosie was diving as well, but I think that was due to a antivirus program I had installed. Once I got rid of that the RAC started climbing again. Milkyway was climbing nicely but now its back to seesaw. You guys got an idea of other space or protein crunching projects? No GPU cards here, just CPU. WCG has a Protein Folding Application http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/index.jsp The credits are NOT fast at all!! You can use ANY of the newer versions of Boinc, not just theirs, it is on the list of Projects in Boinc. You use a name and a password, not an email and a password, to sign up. They want your email also but use a name to log in. WCG gives badges like PG but the 2 year one is the highest they have. Pengy right now you cannot use a gpu at WCG, just cpu's, that will change in the future but it is not known when yet. You can never believe twitter 100% and especially from the north. The better news is that the 787 test pilots did a little long range sky writing and artistic drawing of the company logo over the western (excluding nevada and all its restricted airspace) and north central portion of the states. It was about Penguins and there lives during the winter months at the South Pole. They showed one penguin who took off the wrong way and instead of going to the sea walked towards the mountains towards his death. He was DETERMINED that he was NOT going to follow the other penguins towards the sea, a LONG way away, but instead insisted on walking towards the mountains. The 'rules' didn't allow the filmmakers to intervene and change his route, but they did catch up to it and they sort of stood in its way but it walked and slid around them and just kept going! They did not follow it to its end and then do an autopsy on it, but my thought was maybe it was sick and just went off to die! It walked like a healthy penguin walks, just like all the rest, so who knows?! They were talking about whether penguins can become mentally ill or not, the researcher said he had no idea. They then moved on to other stuff, like female penguins who in order to steal the rocks from other nests, which are overseen by the male penguins, will let the male penguins have sex with them and then they run off with the rocks asap!
