I am getting an error message a lot lately that there's not enough "virtual memory" (page file) and it's killing the app. It's also displaying an error message for each process which is very annoying.

This should no be happening on a PC with system managed page file. Why is Rosetta doing this? I run on 8 different systems and all of them are giving me this error at one time or another over the past few weeks. All of the systems have at least 70% free disk space.

Rosetta Mini 2.15 had some severe issues with the amount of memory it tried to use, which could be the cause of the problems you noticed in recent weeks. Rosetta Mini 2.16 is the version in use for all current tasks and does not appear to suffer from the same problems.

If you still have any tasks running on 2.15 you may wish to abort them and download replacement tasks.

If you are still getting the problem with 2.16 tasks, post again and someone may be able to suggest something else to check.

Having a system managed page file is one thing, but you still get to determine the size of it. By default Windows will not let the page file grow to consume all of that available disk space... and you don't want it to. But you might consider making the page file larger.

Also, yes, tasks consuming excessive memory was the primary reason for issuing the v2.16 version, so please pay specific attention to the Rosetta version running if any further problems occur. I have not been seeing reports of memory problems when running the v2.16, so hopefully the problems you've been seeing are already behind us.

OK....thanks for the info. I'll check my client versions and make sure they are 2.16.
