Shutting down my computers dedicated to Rosetta. Will resume when I return.
joseps:)
I turned off my 5computers when I went on vacation. When I return today, I can not upload work. Need work units to run computers.

Why do you turn them off? It is a good time to try the 'set and forget' feature of Boinc. I go on vacation every year too and just let mine keep crunching, sure some have problems and stop crunching while I am away, but I just start them back up when I come back.

Why not leave them on? Your electric bill will go down nevertheless.

That is my thoughts exactly! Besides those behind you can now catch up and pass you, and then you have to pass them all over again!

Hi all:)
Thats the fun of it, CATCHUP AND OVERTAKE!
I am now in San Francisco, CA visiting grandchildren. Am having fun. Will be home next week and resume ROSY crunching. My wife can't stand computers running while we are out of town. Talk to you later.

Sounds like your wife needs a good talking to about the concept of hard work and then having to redo it. Catching and then passing people is very hard work, they are not standing still either!

Joseps have a great vacation and have fun with the grand kids, they will be all grown up before you know it!!

I'm about to beat the 2K line again. The earthquake took it's toll on my rosetta crunching.

I too m glad you are okay and cruncing again! Are things getting back to normal there, as much as possible? The aftershocks are over now right?

Yeah for the most part. A bit of traffic problems due to a few unstable building and a closed bridge... (Only in my city, Concepcion, the epicenter) solved by adding vehicle restrictions. It's time to rebuild now, and pass college. Aftershocks are much lighter now-a-days... they shake your bed a bit every so often when you sleep. lol

You know you can pay alot of money in some places to get a vibrating bed, you get one for free! 8-))

I am glad things are getting back to 'normal' and especially that you are okay! I hope the same can be said for your family and friends!!
