Merging computers without the same name

I want to merge the same computers without the same name (When they are redone, I never use the same name) and also get rid of some older pc's that are no longer in use but I want to try to save the credits from those. After a period of time without any new results, the machine will not be shown on your list unless you specifically display the inactive machines as well.
