Opened my PC and discovered a dustbomb. Filthy boy :( I bet you've seen an improvement since cleaning it out, right? :-) Them nasty dust bunnies just love it inside our systems. What's up with that? I guess the warm temperatures of our systems provide a nice warm snugly place for them to rest & multiply. ha-ha ;-) |

The simplest way if you are not using the computer for other high CPU tasks is to reduce the CPU speed until the temp gets below your target. Use the power options/advanced and set the MAX CPU speed less than 100% and the Min cpu speed at 50%. On a stock PC this can be 75-95% on the MAX speed. |
