Most people can upload now, I think, and are grabbing new tasks at the same time. It'll be a bunfight for a few hours but you should have some new tasks by the morning, all being well. (Fingers crossed, touch wood etc)

All my WU's successfully uploaded, and after manually updating I got a message "Reported 20 completed tasks," but the WU's still sit in my queue with "Ready to report" status.

Also, they apparently haven't yet replaced whatever software assigned WU's to OSX users. I don't think it's just part of the "Bunfight," because the message says "platform 'x86_64-apple-darwin' not found. But it seems things are slowly getting fixed!

While I only had 2 completed tasks awaiting u/l (not 20), both have u/l and also reported. Not sure if I got credit, as one had passed due date during the outage, but I suspect they're being generous. Dunno if the whole problem is solved, but all servers how Running. Caution, all servers showed Green, even when all but one were Disabled / Not Running.

All my WU's where finally uploaded and reported correctly. However again i have now 2 that are refusing to upload. Most likely the high traffic knocked the server down again.

Good to see progress in the situation, and even a better feeling that the results of a few days crunching where able to reach the science crew eventually instead of being lost to humanity.

Hopefully not to many people aborted their efforts, and the program didnt suffer a too big of a setback.

Cheers,

It is a script database interface issue, one is being updated and one is not. It is an automatic thing and probably due to the problems the page is not being updated.

If I remember correctly, somewhere it was said this is a subsystem and is not monitored by the status page.

One or two of mine slipped past their due date but they weren't reissued to anyone else. If that's the case for you too the credit should eventually go your way, I'd guess.

I also have this problem. My Mac computer runs under OSX, but when I try to report completed tasks I get:
| Reporting 131 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU
| Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
| Message from rosetta@home: platform 'x86_64-apple-darwin' not found

Can anyone explain?

read the home page guys, thats where any news is posted.

latest news:

As many of you are probably aware of already, we've been working hard to try to resurrect the project with the resources we have at hand. Today we replaced a very small temporary disk with a larger 3TB one that we received from the vendor a few days ago. With this disk in place we should soon be back up and running. We have yet to restore data from jobs before the disk failure so these older jobs will still be pending. However, all pending jobs will eventually be granted credit. The good news is that the data from the failed disk has been recovered and we are currently copying it to the new disk. Thank you all for your patience.

Well, our luck ran out. The SAN controller that has been causing so much trouble in the last few months finally tipped over in a rather distructive fashion, corrupting the binary tree on which the filesystem is based. We're trying to rebuild the thing but the sheer number of files in the filesystem (> 10M files) makes this process very, very slow. We're bringing the project up from a recent backup (12/09/10) but the backup wasn't a perfect replica of the environment, so we're having to scramble to get all the parts working together again. We only need a few more weeks and then our new, next generation SAN will be ready to be put into place... I just thought the old one would last a few more week. I apologize for the hassle and appreciate your patience as we get things online again... KEL 01/07/11
