I have not received any new tasks for some time now. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Questions like this should probably go in the number crunching forum, you will get a faster response. The Science forum is generally for discussions about the science behind Rosetta.

Taking a look at the task lists for your computers you seem to have a lot of open tasks sent to you. Did they never reach you?

Your task lists can be seen here and here.

Thanks for the posting info, and no they did show up. The AMD core system receives new tasks seemingly without problem. The Intel quad-cord system use to regularly receive new tasks, but lately several days will go by and new tasks will not download to it. Coincidently, not too long after I posted the original message ten (10) tasks suddenly downloaded to the quad-core system.

I also don't geet work from Rosetta for several days now. I keep updating manually but always get the answer:
Sun 12 Jul 2009 06:52:27 AM CEST rosetta@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

I do run multiple projects, Seti being the largest and it is running fine. I did crunch for Einstein but found out I got WU's which were crunched at a very low speed, sometimes taking more than 12 hours with almost no CPU power used. So I detached Einstein.
Rosetta doesn't give me new WU's and that's not good. What can I do to get some work again?

I run Rosetta, Ralph and Einstein. Boinc scheduler waits until you have just a few taks in Rosetta and downloads big chunks of work once you have almost run of work for that project. There is also the issue that the other projects have priority at the moment due to credit debt to them.
There is a brief explanation by modsense here. Also there is this faq that says basically the same thing.
So when your Rosetta load gets down to just 2 or 3 tasks Boinc will get you new work to fill in your cache while not drowning out your other projects as well.

Check you Long Term Debt, this is a scheduling issue with the 6.6.? versions of Boinc and needs to be manually reset occasionally. In the older versions you could look for a file named client_state.xml and the line is in there, I have no idea where it is in the 6.6.? versions, but that is a good place to start. The powers that be are 'working on it' so it doesn't have to be reset manually. The Long Term Debt setting is so when a project goes off line for some reason and your settings are to give 50% to each project you are crunching, Boinc will automatically give more time to the project that was off line but is now back since you haven't crunched for it in a while. It is supposed to even itself back out but doesn't seem to work too well right now.

I have started to see no new work on a few workstations here -- just started seeing this during the morning here.

None of my systems have picked up any Rosetta work since mid-May, no download failures in the logs, just no work available.

Thinking of detaching.

Sad really.

try resetting rosetta and see if you get any work coming in.
very odd that a quad is not getting any work.

Which version of Boinc are you using? I am guessing you are still crunching for other projects too, is one of them getting lots of work and the others getting very little too? Or are you just a 2 project guy, Rosetta and something else? Are you using your GPU to crunch or just the cpu? All of these questions lead to you potentially dropping back to an older version of Boinc to fix the problem. The 6.6.? versions have Long Term Debt 'issues' that the folks are still working on, but the 6.4.? versions seem to work just fine. BUT if you are using your GPU to crunch, they don't support it! Greg here switched and his machine runs cooler and gets more work with version 6.4.7 instead of a 6.6.? version.

I am running non GPU projects, so that is why I dropped back to that version.
If you are running any GPU projects then you will have to find the right version other than 6.6.x that works for you.

Paul Buck recommends version 6.5.0 for those with GPU's that crunch thru
Boinc with them.

I'm also not getting any new WUs. Mine's been doing this for the last 2 days (maybe longer, my computer wasn't on for a couple of days before that, so I wouldn't know about RAH). I'm running 5.10.20, and don't have a long-term debt problem, as I do my projects manually. My messages list says:
7/20/2009 11:24:54|rosetta@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work
7/20/2009 11:24:54|rosetta@home|Requesting 207360 seconds of new work
7/20/2009 11:25:00|rosetta@home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 601]
7/20/2009 11:25:00|rosetta@home|Deferring communication for 1 min 0 sec
7/20/2009 11:25:00|rosetta@home|Reason: no work from project

The server status says that there's some 1200 WUs ready to go and that there's no server problems (all in the green). I'm able to download Einstein WUs without any problems. Does anyone have any ideas?

5.10? why so low of a version?
try bumping up to 6.4.x or 6.5.x and also try reseting the project and see if you get a new batch of work. you could also just try rebooting the computer and seeing if any new work comes after the reboot when you manually update.

I have been seeing this problem on my system for some time, I also checked the status page and the server all show green as well. I can not get any of my Linux clients to download either, I thought it might be a package problem or a port problem.

So in one of my KVM VM I run Vista 64 and downloaded the latest client and for the past 8 hours was unable to even download any work units. Even rebooted the VM, a few times to check keeps telling me I got 0 new tasks. I am running 6.6.36 and have reset the project as well I think something is not right with the project.

5.10? why so low of a version?

Both my computers run 5.10.20, and haven't had any problems with them. Unless you count this WU instance with this computer (haven't tried the other one) and any times the RAH server has crashed or run out of WUs. I'm getting Einstein and PrimeGrid WUs without incidence. Whenever I need to buy a new laptop, then I will upgrade that version to the latest stable one.

I'm seeing that others are having this problem as well, so I know I'm in good company!

Update: I've now resetted the project twice and exited (and obviously restarted) the BOINC Manager itself. All that's happened is that the amount of work RAH is trying to download is substantially smaller and the amount of time between communications is also substantially smaller than they were before the reset. But I'm still not getting WUs. Grrrr!

I have the same problem:

21.07.2009 00:35:30 rosetta@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
21.07.2009 00:35:30 rosetta@home Requesting new tasks
21.07.2009 00:35:35 rosetta@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

My version is 6.6.15.

Look at the current Teraflopcount ans you see there is something wrong.

As has been pointed out in another thread this looks like a server issue. Here are some figures from a minute ago.

Total queued jobs: 1,249,755
Ready to send: 11

There is a lot of work available, but it is not being distributed fast enough.

Everything was going fine for me until a couple of days ago, I can't get any new tasks.

7/21/2009 7:46:47 AM rosetta@home Requesting new tasks for CPU
7/21/2009 7:46:57 AM rosetta@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks

It will just keep doing this over and over, I have also tried resetting project to no avail.
