I have looked in forum but seem I cannot find the proper thread!
I would like to get direted to the thread that deals with attaching to Rosetta.
I have to re-attach everyday and I dont know why.
If I attach to the project, it works fine for 24 hours and after all m y work units simply disappear and I have to re-attach the next day and so on and so on..

The BOINC scheduler in the current client version is having trouble coming up with proper amount of work to get in advance, and sometimes finds itself without enough work to do.

The first completed task I came across in your list ran for nearly 24hrs. The default runtime is 3 hours, but you can set it as desired in the Rosetta preferences. But it takes the BOINC client some time to adjust to the change. If you do not change your runtime preference back to a shorter time, you will not be able to complete all of the work you have now apparently downloaded.

The main thing I would have suggested in reponse to your original comment would be to leave it alone for a day and BOINC will figure it out. And possibly set things to try and keep enough work for 2 days or so. But now it appears you may have already made other changes to your settings already. So, I'll only suggest that you be sure and abort tasks that have passed their deadlines.

Um, Mod.Sense, did you mean to post this in another thread? It doesn't seem to address Martin Chartrand's question:

I only clicked into this forum by accident (gotta adjust the sensitivity of the trackpad!) so I offer this wild guess only because no one else has made any suggestions. Do you or have you ever used BAM? I recall a case where someone had originally set up BOINC using BAM!, subsequently joined a new project directly through the BOINC manager itself rather than account manager(BAM!) and had the problem you describe. Their other projects, attached to via BAM!, continued along just fine, it was only the new one that did these daily detachments. If this could be a possibility perhaps a visit to the BOINCstats forums would get things sorted out. If not, hopefully Mod.Sense will be back with another suggestion.

No I wasn't in the wrong thread. But perhaps with the wrong perspective. I was thinking Martin said he was manually detach and attache each day to keep enough work. And it sounds like there are no other projects running on this machine to keep it busy. So the thoughts on BAM may be the correct perspective.
