Ralp@home is down for over 2 days.
Both the Internet site and the server are not contactable.
Perhaps there is someone here who knows what is going on?

I am still unable to contact web site or the servers.

Ralph is a Rosetta@home project, so why is there no news about this outage ???

i was curious and pinged ralph.bakerlab.org - that works...


it would be really great to get some infos from the team...

perhaps out of memory or something like that but no admin reply so no admin work on this problem :(

in boinc mgr i get website ok, project may be down message

as is the norm when it comes to problems, no one can give any updates anywhere about what the problem is.

luckily i store about 4 days extra work on my system, but my task view gets clogged with uploading tasks and the message box gets clogged with all the server attempts.

I'm getting nothing for ralph. I tried pinging ralph.bakerlab.org and my requests timed out.

well then ralph must be suffering another heart attack combined with a stroke.
must be clinically dead.

Its down ... again ... sigh ...

David Kim used to fix Ralph, Keith E. Laidig fixed Rosie.

But I'm not sure these days. I've been away for a while.

I sent an email, I hope he isn't swamped with people that are "helpful" like me :)

That is a good question, and truthfully I don't know.

But I suspect not.

Keith is more the network and server hardware, and DK is more the BOINC server code and work units. And then both get to run both Rosetta and Ralph. I'm sure they are aware of the problem, but I haven't heard anything about what they're up to.

Finally cleared out 12 tasks that were clogging up my boinc mgr.
Good work to whoever breathed life into Ralph again.
