Can I use a different screen saver with boinc running? Currently on a vista machine I have boinc set to run after 5 min of inactivity, and a photo show screen saver set for 5 min. The logs show that boinc only runs for 5 min then suspends for 5 then runs for 5 and so on. I suspect the screen saver kicking in is being seen as activity, then after 5 min boinc kicks in and resets the screensaver. Any thoughts?

What are you seeing displayed on the screen?

You might change the timeouts and see if the timing of the pattern changes.
