My machine has a dual core processor. BOINC has it listed as having two processors and is running two WU's at any given time... one per core. Is it possible to run one WU on both cores to speed up the processing of that WU?

No, BOINC is designed to work the way you are seeing it, with two tasks keeping two CPUs busy. Rosetta's work is based on models completed, and you will be completing twice as many models, just as you would have hoped to if it were possible to have both CPUs working on the same task.

You can set a target runtime preference in your Rosetta preferences. It just causes a given task to run more models (and take more time) before reporting in the results.
