updated BOINC to 6.2.18 but lost all tasks which were running on 6.2.16

This happens occaisionally. The system is designed to accomodate. The tasks will pass their deadlines and be assigned to another machine. No harm done. The change in BOINC versions on your client machine shouldn't matter. The server version of the schdeuler used at Rosetta doesn't check each request for ghosts at this time.
