Thank you mickey and champ! :-D I really hope this project is running in the right direction and for everybody's health. I want to search more in these pages to find something interesting about the science behind and the progresses so far.
Have a good day, hope I can read about more Rosetta crunchers here ;-)

Bye bye

The Dreamer

P.S. what about my team mates? Are U still there??

Hi there!

Nice to see a yet another soul interested in actual scientific progress of this great, shared effort we call Rosetta@Home (and BOINC, and distributed computing in general).

Happy Crunching Everyone, and keep pushing for the science! :)

There was a study done and it found that less than 10% of the people that crunch use the forums! I think that is just terrible, people crunch and miss the sense of community involved in that crunching.

The same problem exists in other areas. I play an MMO, and it's been noted time and time again by the community managers for that game that only about 10% of the active playerbase are even registered on the forums.

Some people just don't do the forum thing, I guess.

No time to post in every project's forums, sorry... But when I can I type something with pleasure :-) I recently added one more PC to this project account, hope it can be useful.

Greetings to all

Yeah it's been said that people just don't do the Forums unless they have a problem. I guess that makes things easier for the project, less of us to manage and smaller drives needed for our posts.

Its like that in real life too. Its always the same few people who help on School PTAs and are involved on various committees helping the community.

That is very true and a pain for those of us that do help!! You start out in the beginning thinking it will be just for a little while but then realize that there is no one else going to do it if you stop! I had to stop doing the webpage for my sons Boy Scout Troop and it took them 2 years before someone else took over, it was painful to watch!!
