I have 30 or so wu's for Rosetta on my task manager, however none show on my tasks page at Rosetta. What's going on here? Also, Rosetta says my last update was 24 August. My numbers are all wrong on Rosetta (RAC, total credits, etc.)..how do I fix this?

It sounds like you have created multiple accounts on Rosetta. And so the tasks on your machine were issued to another host ID. The host ID is shown in the first few messages as BOINC starts. What is your host ID on Rosetta for this machine?

880547...and I believe I found the other...272927. Any fix for this? I hope these numbers are correct.

Neither of those is the 870706 host that is registered to the user ID you are signing on with when you post your messages.

Yes, the "fix" is for you to use the same EMail address and password as you attach to the project. Then all of your machines, and your message board posts, will be under the same user ID.

How do I merge that ID with my other so my stats will update and then for me to dump that ID afterwards? I can't find 870706....what do I do? Do I need to detach from Rosetta and then re-attach again and use the same password and email as I did on SETI?

As to finding the host I mentioned, I just clicked your user ID to the left of your post and click through to your machines. As you say, that machine hasn't contacted the project since August 24.

As for merging things. No, you can only merge machines registered to the same user account. Since you apparently have multiple user accounts, that will not be possible.

As for what to do, yes, for any machine that is not showing under the user account where you want it, do the following:
detach from the project,
then attach again entering the EMail address and password you wish the host to be owned by.

How do I detach this account with only the 86 credits (870706) and keep the other account with the most credits? BOINC manager shows the account with the high credit total yet Rosetta doesn't show it. How do I have it show on my Rosetta home page? Apparently this account is no good since all my wu's are being credited to the other account. This account is only causing confusion. How do I delete this account and show the other? If I detach through BOINC manager then I will lose all my credit from the other account correct...? or am I wrong....this is all confusing!! Rosetta should have safeguards for this and allow more than 1 account to merge since it is the same computer!

Your "account" is maintained on the Rosetta website. Now that it exists, it will not be removed. Which projects you are currently attached to on any given host does not change that. So you can safely detach any hosts that are not on the desired account. Then attach again using the account you desire. Detaching a host does not effect credits already recorded for a user account.

There is no such thing as an account that is "no good". Simply that it is not the account you want your credits to accumulate to.

Your complaints about the lack of ability to merge seperate user accounts should be voiced to BOINC, because the website functions are provided by the standard BOINC distribution.
