Could anyone point me to resources/tell me how research at baker labs influences the wider science and drug-making community. For example, are the results given to particular groups to help design drugs or are the results published out in the open or have there been significant results enough to do anything?

Thanks

As a layman, running the models in the hope it may prove worthy, I would also like to know this.

The Rosetta@home article on Wikipedia gives examples of how the project is involved in disease-related research: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta@home#Disease-related_research. For a broader perspective on the project's significance to medical research, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta@home#Project_significance.
