That special protein must be biodegradable, but that takes bacteria - so it seems like your machine is infected by something utterly new... OK, w/o kidding: I noticed that myself some time ago, although not to such an extent. Looks some kind of Lego kit, but nothing to worry about. |

Yes, part of the fix for the graphics problems of old was to make things thread safe. One of the compromises that was made in order to achieve the graphic stability was to display what is sometimes portions of two different decoy frames at the same time. The alternative was to stop computing until the frame was completely displayed, which would have made the calculations less efficient. So, basically you've got what looks like side chains from one contortion, and don't yet have a backbone determined for the next. ...either that, or it's another preview of the @home game! "...some assembly may be required" :) Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

...either that, or it's another preview of the @home game! "...some assembly may be required" :) You just gave me a cool idea for an educational simulation....Assemble your own protein -- to learn how proteins can or cannot connect! |

Matt, I see a similar task now on my box. It doesn't show the backbone, even over time in other frames. So I now see what you mean, that doesn't look right. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
