there are people selling credits on ebay. can a person apply these credits to their account and if so how?
isn't that a form of cheating as well?

I don't know of any way; perhaps by merging some accounts, although I doubt that's possible.

No, there's no way to apply credits to an account. Read the fine print on the offer to sell on EBay. They will basically join your team with enough horsepower to provide the credit promised, in the time defined, to that team.
