Hi

Bitte helft mir, denn ich will euch helfen ;)

---------- the text in bad english ^^ ----------------

Ich have this Problem:

The Works, witch Rosetta gives me, take a time from 8 up to 10 hours. But if I shut my pc down, and start it later again, BOINC starts new with counting.

Can i adjust anywere, that BOINC counts at the place, where it stopped before the shutdown ?

Pls help me, because i want to help you ;)

---------------------------------------------

And i also read the other threads, but i was at 60% and shut my pc down, and as i start it an hour later, boinc starts at 0% with counting.

You have a task which ran for over 8 hours, and then you exited BOINC and when you restart BOINC that task starts back at zero hours? So both the progress % and CPU time are back to zero?

...that is not normal. That means you did not complete a model in 8 hours. It also means you did not reach a checkpoint during that time.

You can set your Rosetta runtime preference. But if you do not complete a single model, changing this setting will not help the problem.

The only thing I can think of is in your General Preferences (which apply to all the BOINC projects you might work with) there is a value for how often you will allow BOINC to write to disk. Did you perhaps get a very large value in that attribute? The default is 60 seconds. I would suggest setting it no higher then 600 seconds.
