When I first got the client running I made a few mistakes , so I run it again and ended up with 2 instances of client on the one computer . I then went into account statistics /view computers /computer ID and then merged the oldest into the new , and everything seemed to work ok now .

What I want to know is this the proper procedure ? or is there another use for merging ? I am running 4 clients on 4 computers at the moment and they have separate statistics , so I guess that is the way it works .

Yes, some for historical reasons ... others to fill in "gaps" of coverage, and some just for the heck of it. :)

Though I tend to the ones that are, um, science oriented. So, though I have a BURP account, no BURP work done at all ... and at least for the foreseeable future it is not likely. My current goal is to get more of the real science projects over the "play" projects like SETI@Home.

I had hoped to begin to work on the Linux only projects, but I could not seem to get my new computer to load Linux and integrate into my home network (yes, I know, no one else has the problem) but with 5+ hours invested and no closer I surrenderred as I am not healthy enough for the fight.

Now, if Nancy would only hold up her end and win the lottery ... :)
