Welcome to the team both Geepers & mags :ok: & :flowers: :redcarpet: :fireworks: Thanks for the welcome. :) I have updated boinc to 5.2.12 from 5.2.7, I'm hoping that this will improve my results. 5 days crunching solid and only one sucessful result returned. :( |

...I have updated boinc to 5.2.12... 12??? Day before I upgraded to 5.2.8, yesterday to 5.2.10 and now it's 12? This is ridiculous...I can't keep up! I've still got my standalones on 6 and 7 !!! Mags, that's very strange...why don't you post something in the Questions and Answers forum here? Pixie- don't push the serious mode stuff too hard. He'll start believing all that sort of crap soon. And then he'll be impossible squared!!! |

Erm, dumb question, how does one update BOINC, I can't see any update option, just download and install over old version? He'll only be virtually impossible squared - I can live with that for about 20 seconds...... Sorry to hear about the problems mags mine seem to be running just fine on .6 and .7 - perhaps downdate (that's the opposite of update I presume)? |

...I have updated boinc to 5.2.12... I have already done so, but nothing suggested other than updating, so I'm trying that. Pixie it's as you say remove and install new version. |

...I have updated boinc to 5.2.12... Update, VaVega fixed it for me, I reset the memory preference to yes and my second result has gone up okay. :D join Fadbeens |

Pixie it's as you say remove and install new version. Hm... I just stop boinc and install the new version. Boinc-install removes the old files on its own and does a new setup. So the installation ID remains. Teddies.... |

...I reset the memory preference to yes... Mags That's General Preferences, Leave Applications in Memory while Pre-empted you mean, right? Just in case somebody else runs into the same problem. Pixie Yep, install on top. (I used the word "upgrade" to try to make it clearer). Now I'm thinking of downgrading to 5.2.6 to get BoincView working again! ("Install underneath"?) |
