I’m just get started on 1 May load BOINC manager into my desktop computer ever thing seem to work fine after rosetta@home. Next day I did the same for my laptop computer. The installation seems to work fine. I did make an error when listing my name as I fail to put a space between my middle initial and last name. I when to ‘Your account’ and made the correction. Later after letting the program run a while I open BOINC Manager and clicked on Your computers expecting to see both of my computers listed. They were not I have tried to find out what not and I’m at the point I need help.

It sounds like what you ended up doing was creating two accounts and you later changed the name of the second (without the space) to match the first (with the space).

You now have two accounts. One here and one here.

You see two users can have the same name, but not the same EMail address.

I suggest you go to your 2.4ghz machine, since it has less credit. Go to the advanced view in the BOINC Manager. Go to the projects tab. Select Rosetta by left clicking. Then click the "no new tasks" button over on the left. This will prevent any new work from being downloaded.

Then complete the tasks you have, update to the project so they are reported and then your tasks tab should not show any tasks left.

Then go back to the projects tab. Select Rosetta, click the detach button. Then click the tools pulldown menu and attach to Rosetta. This time connect to an EXISTING account. And use the EMail address you entered with the other host.

Now go to the Rosetta website, signon with the EMail address of the second account you created. Change the profile to have an EMail address that doesn't exist. Signoff the website. Then signon with the remaining EMail address and modify the account if you would prefer to use the other EMail address going forward.
