Only one wu is using cpu time

Only one of my wu is using cpu time. there are three in my boinc mgr window but only one is ticking. Is my 'puter to slow? 2.4 ghz? are my settings making this happen? or is this just the way it is? Or a Hypterthreaded one? There is a General Preference for how many CPUs BOINC should use on a multi-CPU system.
