When tryin to install rosetta and i enter the URL it says that this is not a Bonic-based project(http://bonic.bakerlab.org/rosetta). I'am running dial-up and i do have a network of 3 computers and i'am also using a proxy server. I did read you Q&A section but saw no fix.

If you're using "bonic", that should be boinc. Typo, may be the problem.

truckpuller, I had the same problem. Open the BOINC Manager, click on Projects > Account manager, then go to the url (boinc) and copy/paste the url (rosetta). Be sure that there are no extra spaces because that may be the key.

I may be off target here, but it looks like you're trying to log into an "account manager" service rather than attaching a computer direct to Rosetta, which is done through the Projects | Attach to project menu item.

I haven't used an Account Manager myself, but if you do want to use that facility, don't enter the bakerlab URL there. I don't have a URL for an account manager service, but you can read about the Account Manager function here if that's what you want.

TB Horst, I am new here and I am trying to help a team mate. We are both frustrated and your post is meaningless. The same goes for your other five posts. If you cannot help, keep out of the way. The same goes for you, LP.

I did a search for this problem, truckpuller and found nothing. I am looking through the files in BOINC and see that a benchmark was performed before I selected a project. Click on the enlarged image to see clearly. Look in your stdoutdae.txt and compare it to mine.

Do you have many entries like this one in your stdoutgui.txt?

While I am expressing myself, the lack of a preview feature on this message board is an annoyance.

[Edit] Why not try to download a different project, truckpuller, just to see if it is limited to Rosetta? You can always detach the other project later. If it won't download, uninstall BOINC, download again, and install/setup again. [/Edit]

Truckpuller, I edited my previous post. I now believe more strongly that you should uninstall BOINC, download again, and install/setup again. Also note my suggestion to try to join a different project.

Truckpuller stayed with the issue until the wee hours in the Find-a-Drug Refugees topic last night. The main issue was the configuration of his Proxy. After that, there were a couple issues with the General Preferences. He is crunching now.

Set your "connect every" preference higher in general preferences. You can look up an explanation of that page in the Wiki ...

Though I see the page is pretty heavily dated ...sigh, one of us is not doing his job ... :(
