all i can say from a AMD users view is ..... cheap traitor lol
a Celeron-M, not your grandfather's Celeron.

basically, I believe designed off the Core 2 design.

think of it as a Core 2 Uni (mobile).

poor Who? is gonna have a heart-attack, my last two purchases have been Intel !

from Wikipedia:

Merom-1024

The new Celeron M 520 is a single-core 65 nm CPU based on the Merom Core 2 CPU.

It has half of the L2 cache (1 MiB) of the low end Core 2 Duo (2 MiB cache) and lacks both SpeedStep and Virtualization Technology.

It also features Intel 64 technology and XD-bit support with 533 MHz FSB.

poor you, a celeron...ack!
my return to all my crunchers keeps getting delayed. maybe by this weekend.

couldn't take it anymore, being without a laptop.

grabbed a cheap gateway at bestbuy ($300 - $50 giftcard) for a Celeron-M 1.6ghz and 1mb L2 cacche. Certainly not the greatest, but for a $250 laptop, what the heck.

going to see how Rosie likes it.

hmm..penguin eggs and canadian bacon. should be marketed as breakfast from the north. to bad the orange juice and coffee comes from the south. guess we will have to call it the north/south breakfast
... and Canadian bacon

Great. I need my eggs in the morning. @:^)

hey, well, gotta go for the "value"

how about an 8-core server for $729?

See this Dell PowerEdge SC 1430

two socket, quad-core Xeon E5310's - a total of 8 cores in one box!

imagine adding this to my existing Dell 9200 quadcore as a Rosie cruncher...

all i can say from a AMD users view is ..... cheap traitor lol

i held off (refused delivery) of the ps/3 i had previously ordered.

didn't want to be one of the last ones to pay $499 (60gb model).

want to be one of the first ones to pay $399 (40gb model).

guess i'll have f@h going by early november.

sell some of your krill reserves and perhaps you can afford the bigger one easier.

decided to hold off on the krill sale and the dell sc1430 dual socketed Xeon 5310's,
and wait till January to purchase the new 45nm Intel's.

I'm telling ya, Who? will never believe it, that would be 3 intel purchases in a row.

Gonna go for the Q9450 (12 mb's of L2 cache)!!!
