I have been getting these messages:

Sun Feb 18 16:05:40 2007|rosetta@home|Task DOC_1MLC_R070216_pose_u_pert_bbmin_from_farlx_abs_tol_1571_2510_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
Sun Feb 18 16:05:40 2007|rosetta@home|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.
Sun Feb 18 18:41:21 2007|rosetta@home|Restarting task DOC_1MLC_R070216_pose_u_pert_bbmin_from_farlx_abs_tol_1571_2510_0 using rosetta version 546
Sun Feb 18 18:44:21 2007||Restarting 24no03aa.2465.6162.742326.3.119_1 - message timeout

Resetting the project does not correct things as the message comes back eventually. I have gotten this message from other projects I have also. This has stared since I upgraded to BoincManager 5.8.8
Is there a bug here or is it the work units?

I am no expert in this matter, but for what it is worth:

You will find a few references to such error messages on the Boinc website, classifying them as harmless affairs that you need not worry about.

However, if these errors bother you (they bothered me), you may try to deactivate any automatic screensaver (including the Apple default) on your computer. It just might do the trick while we wait for a more proper fix.

Message 37039 - Posted: 21 Feb 2007, 0:19:28 UTC - in response to Message 37008.

I find it hard to believe that this is caused by a screen saver. I am not using Boinc's screen saver and Apple's screen saver is only on for about 10 minutes before the screen goes to sleep. I also noticed those messages occur even when I am working on the computer and the screen saver was not activated.

I posted this problem on a different project's message boards and I got this answer:

So far I know could this happen with the BOINC cient 5.8.8, but it is not a serious problem and will fixed in the next stable relase.

I have since upgraded to 5.8.11 and those no finished file messages are still there - just not as often. But I am also now getting these messages:

Tue Feb 20 06:27:53 2007||[error] Process 208 not found

The process numbers change and the message is in red.

It bothers me because it looks like there is something wrong with the work files.

Cheryl, your instincts are good. The no finish line thing is indeed one you can ignore, and I've read that it will be corrected soon, it just didn't make the 5.8.11.

The process error is another matter. Please report this in the Number Crunching forum in the "problems with..." thread. Be sure to point out it is occuring on your Mac.
