If i have only one rosetta project going on (i have amd 2700+ prosessor) and i set BOINC to use 100% for crunch....well if i decide to add another project...is my prosessor using then 50% to rosetta and 50% to that other project?.....i mean is it good thing to spread prosessors calculation power?...

sorry, one stupid guy from finland asking stupid questions :D :D

There is no stupid question :-)

Yes, the CPU time will be divided by the number of projects you are running, but also depending on the preferences you have entered in each project.

So if your preferences are set to 100 for each projects you'll have 50% of your CPU time for project 1 and 2.

If the ressource share of both projects is equal, every project gets 50% of your crunching time. BUT: Your CPU load will be always at 100%. Boinc crunches project A for 1 hour (depending on your settings) then project B for one hour then again project A and so on. On a single CPU System there's only one project active at a given time. Boinc "switches" between the projects...

That's clear, my explanation was very bad. I had in mind a dual core ....
It was a stupid answer ;-)
