Is it possible to move some work from one computer to another having the same account. How would this be accomplished? At the moment I have one computer with no work and another with lots of work to spare.

You cannot move work from one computer to another.

The idea with BOINC is that you should be supporting several projects so that if one is down, you get work from another. If you only want to support one project then you have to live with the potential of down time.

In the case of Rosetta@Home there are similar projects now so that you can at least be working in the same general area of Bio science. The related projects are, of course, Predictor@Home, Folding@Home (testing still), and he new "World Community Grid" project (Linux only at this time - not sure of the status).
