My WU: FRA_t380_NEWFLAGS_hom001_4_t380_4_2fhqA_IGNORE_THE_REST_38_1296_162
It seems to stick at a point (1.5%) and I think that it is not doing any calculation
what can I do

Is there a "movement" in the graphics? if yes, the WU is still alive

The % complete tends to stay the same when in the middle of calculating a decoy. It jumps when the decoy is finished. If it is going to take longer than your runtime pref, Rosetta will still try to make one prediction, but you will not see much progress until it finishes. There is a watchdog thread which I think stops a WU if no step has been calculated in 1 hr.

Then the app does seem to have died.

Sometimes also you might notice that the cpu time stops increasing.

Either of these show that the app has died. Stop BOINC, restart BOINC. The app should restart from the same %progress that you saw before. One of two things will happen:

either it will then run through the point it failed and complete - no problem

or it will get stuck again. If so, abort the task (highlight this task in the tasks tab and click abort).

If it does get stuck again, or if you find you keep getting this problem even if it goes away on a second try, then you might like to make a posting in the Report Problems thread for the relevant application version. This thread can be found by entering report problems 5.32 in the search box at the top of the page (change the application version number to suit of course!)
