imho accusing someone of creating extra flame accounts is name calling (or insulting or libel or whatever the appropriate english word may be for this type of indecent behaviour towards others).

I've been around pretty much since Rosetta started, just so you know. Call me names if you like, I'll only think the worse of you. My ego doesn't depend on the acclamation of others, although it's nice to get it.

Yes: I am trying to force the moderators to be consistent or to accept that what they did in the past was wrong. I don't thing the moderators want to eliminate me from the database. That move can come back to haunt them. :)

Your threats (yes, that's what they are) are starting to be tedious. Continue if you must, I'm sure the MODs will give you enough rope to hang yourself.

Bob, The moderators are not fools. They know that there are people waiting to re start a flame war that will make any previous flame war child's play. They also know that is people like Tony, Saenger, Fluffy, Carl and even me that are basically preventing this war. That a major flame war can start over any minnor issue is not a threat, that is our fear.

And yes people like Tony , Carl and me and may others are trying our best to try and get to a point that our previous differences are reduced to areas where we can agree to disagree while being civil. See, we are passionate about or believes and we many not agree with each other about strategies but, we do agree that this project is too important to let it go down the toilet. We argue for what think is needed.

That is why even from exile, I stile care. Tony , I think , has come to understand that and that is why even though we are in some issues a tad far away, we have rediscovered many of the things that have united us in the past to the point that we can joke about some of our previous fights.

That said: the moderators know that I havve access to the historical records , of what has been said or not said and that I am a stickler for consistency . They also suspect ( I hope they hope) that it is not hard for anyone to return here even if his IP is banned, So they know they can remove anyone here and that person if he wishes will return.

Well, I must thank you for your last post, it was a very reasonable response. I'd like more of that kind, please. I want you to know that I read ALL your posts, and if I have a complaint it is that repeating the same thing over and over does not make me more likely to believe you.

Yep , you have every right to post but ABSOLUTE deliberate intentions of restarting something we hoped had been left behind is not helping anyone or the project.

The way to end any discussion (regardless of flavor) is for everyone to stop replying to it even if you feel compelled to do so. The poster can then have a discussion with him/herself to no avail.

I see about three people who are continuously angry with the project, the forum, and the moderators. Three out of tens of thousands of participants.

I also see several people who are stuck in arguments with them - arguments they can't win because the three people seem more intent on the argument for argument's sake.

So, I suggest that everyone just ignore those who are angry with the project, the forum, and the moderators.

The concept of the free exchange of ideas in an open forum (or, in other words, "free speech") guarantees these three posters a PLACE- this board. It does NOT, however, guarantee them an AUDIENCE.

We are obligated to let them speak their minds but we are NOT obligated to read it, respond to it, or try to placate it.

So let them spew their anger. Let them give their opinions. And then ignore it.

That includes this thread and every other thread. Ignore them.

YOU dissapoint me with your continuous comments on what people do, say and think.

No disappointment here, either. I'm sure he tried very hard to resist making that post. We're all human, though, and that means we get upset sometimes.

I must admit that I lost patience myself, here, once. This ended in the only time in my life that I've ever had a post moderated. So no, I don't hold it against him, at all.

The thing is, no one will ever know now the original reason to the reaction to Matt Davis (Or will they ;-) ),as his posts are now deleted. (who deleted them BTW ?) One was insulting Jose and the other was insulting Carl. Both were designed deliberately to get a reaction from them and to cause trouble. All rather childish really.
