It`s into my main email so we`ll see, I note I did get a mail from Boinc.Baker telling me of the change. Still wondering why they`re not getting through to my hotmail account though. Edit : Just checked my mail and it`s in. So must be a hotmail peculiarity, I know some servers do like like hotmail. Not all Czech`s bounce but I`d like to try with Barbar ;-) Make no mistake This IS the TEDDIES TEAM. |

Bravo, Jose! Solid, grounded arguments. You even include person specific, constructive criticism without resorting to shouting (typing loudly) insults. Whether I agree or disagree on each point, you encourage me to think and respond rather than to retaliate. You have given us all something to aspire to here. |

Movieman: 5 mins after I posted that I found out I'd switched two names so i deleted the post..Knowing that, it now makes a bit more sense to you..agreed? As to you judging me or not, doesn't bother me at all. Why would I care what someone who hides behind a ficticous name cares? They are non people. All of the Mods could be Baker or Kim incognito for all we know ( They aren't of course since we do know who the mods are) I post from anger at seeing what are supposedly highly intelligent individuals mess up the best project out there by caving into to a few individuals who spent more computer cycles complaining than they did crunching the project. Add to that the lack of backbone of the people in charge to put a stop to it and you can well understand my anger. Here is is weeks later, the arguments are still going on and the developers STILL haven't come and answered anything. I can see anyone missing a point but what do they need, a building to fall on them to tell them it's time to be seen and time to act? If anything, this proves that intelligence and common sense don't necessarily go hand in hand.. |

"Crawl back in your hole"? I think you`ll find that was mine...in reply to an equally defamatory post by <edit>..... I would never ask why such a post was deleted, the fact you reproduce shows the words are not strong, nevertheless it was aimed as an insult, to which I understand deletion. Mod.De that would have been no problem, it wouldn`t be a first and I do understand the principals of moderation even be the fact I lose my temper at times. You`ll find the only time I have argued with you, re moderation, on post`s was a cultural difference of opinion on a specific word where it meant something entirely different to you than to me. I am human, I do get angry at times when I`m baited and I do bite because of my passion for fair play and justice. I also run forums so am able to see that moderation is a necessity, I also understand that the posters are human and do get tempered...I`m glad they do, it shows passion and caring ! Mod.De = A little young but with a sense of fair play, is passionate but fair as his knowledge allows. Does allow questioning on his reasoning. Mod.Sense = Now this is the one that everyone thought would be very bias, howether has not come across as such and is the most likely to give a fair hearing. Mod.Tymbrimi = Has one view and only one, his own. Is smug, malicious and devious. Will find clever little way`s of putting obstacles in the way of reasoned questioning. He is clever and can pull the wool over authorities eyes when allowed. If he knew himself and what he is, he would never allow himself to be in the position he is today. This howether is a game to him where he can play with people and their feelings which he enjoys. He gains the most enjoyment from targeting and destroying a particular character, which he will do from time to time. Deleted the Nemesis: Ah my friend Sense: the problem is that the person in question is leaving no doubts. This post is so vague and makes no reference to whom or what is leaving no doubts that it cannnot be considered offensive. |

Looks like we need to get Mod.Canada out in the limelight a bit more often, so all 4 Muskateers can be represented and the list can be complete! A note to the other two moderators DE and Sense: This is flaming. If your fellow Moderator continues flaming , then do not complain when people flame back at him. I think the time has come for you two to have a nice talk with Moderator T. He is definitively ruining the good work you are trying to do. To Mod T: Enjoy your power trip while it lasts. BTW you need a spell cheker... What is a Muskateer? |

"Crawl back in your hole"? Hi DE: At least grant Carl the fact that "Crawl back in your hole " is less inflamatory than what your co-moderator T is doing. |

Deleted the Nemesis: How about speculation on why Moderator T has become the biggest and most annoying flamer in this and other threads? Sense: he has. And he is ruining all the good will ( and the good work) you and DE are trying to do. Moderator T has become the poster child of why annonymous moderating should not be permited. Worst, he is becoming an issue by and of himself: Why are the project managers allowing a known flamer, a person that is a clear partisan and has by his actions created more problems than he has solved to remain as a moderator? |

What is a Muskateer? I'd be surprised if I hadn't made a typo or spelling error in my 113 posts here. When I read through more than 100k of text I'd written years ago, I noticed that I'd consistently spelled mischievously as mischieviously. So I'll be the first to admit that I'm capable of making spelling errors. As long as the spelling is close enough, it shouldn't be a problem to understand. As for Muskateers: The Three Muskateers 1973 version The Four Muskateers from 1974. These were based on the works of Alexandre Dumas. The BOINC package does not allow moderators to edit posts. For some reason the BOINC developer have made clear that they won't change this, so there is little hope that this will be possible in future. So dump it and get a forum package that does what is needed. This was brought up before and people were told to get in touch with Bok from Free DC. He knows forum software as no one else that I'm aware of. It might not be free software but what in life that is worthwhile is free? |

Are there extensions/modifications for the current BOINC forum available? The good thing about the boinc forum is, that it links your account to the forum, so everybody is able to post without the need to register again. |
