Jose, perhaps you could elaborate on "No annonymous moderators.
That is needed". What do you feel this would accomplish? I mean don't you see that participants are hidden behind anonymous handles, and using that to say things they wouldn't say in-person?

I mean if you are going to make a call from removal on anonymity, why don't you take the lead and post your photo and change your handle to your true name? Lead by example.

considering the barrage of insult they get by you and carl.

Backup that claim please with evidence!

You are stating I have insulted the mods, perhaps by the F word ? The mod in question is not English neither are you, it is a second language. I fully explained my use of the correct word for the behaviour and you agreed that you did not know that it meant something different from that which you thought.

You are now going back and calling it insulting or rather me as insulting, this is an insult to me. You treat the whole thing as a game in which you change your position to suit your argument. This type of behaviour is all too frequent on this board and is infuriating, which is why at times tempers flair and insults fly.

All the fa****t name calling,

I just went a bit back, and I think this imho intolerable behaviour got my recollection of the past a bit blurred. Of course, this deserves imho a life ban by itself, but that's obviously no consent here. In the past 25 days there was no insult besides this (at least for me to see).

I'm still not through with this, but I will believe you, that you just didn't know how you would have to be perceived by Mod.DE.

If you cannot use my native tongue in it`s correct fashion or understand it, or take words as insults that clearly are not, it is not my problem.

I have evidenced that Fa**istic means acting in an authorative, dictatorial manner but no dictionary in the world is good enough for you Saenger cos you are just out to cause trouble.

I don`t care that you have a phobia of the word, it`s use was in context and correct.

Your Countries guilt has nothing whatsoever to do with me so just get over it.

With your thinking every Englishman should be insulted by being called a "slavedriver" for our forebears part in the slave trade. We don`t, we`re different people, I don`t blame you or De for bloomin Belsen now grow up !

Your labeling could do nothing else but become a mayor insult for any german. There is no other way to read it here in this country. I get it that you didn't knew that when you said so, but it is, and that's a fact.

Would you repeat this with this knowledge?

Mr Feet ( or is it Mr First?):

The anonymous handles by the participants are attached to a profile that includes their team so the regular posters can be tracked to a degree of certainty. Not so with annonymous moderators. They cannot be tracked to their teams.

I have ways of tracking people but, why go through the hassles when a simple act of courtesy by the moderators would suffice.

My name is Jose A. Izquierdo. I am a retired government employee. ( I specialized in compliance auditing, fraud detection and grant proposal writing)

The fact that I am Jose Izquierdo has been verified By David Baker and David Kim in many of the e-mails we have exchanged. The lady reporter that was going to write the article for the Hughes Center has verified my name and place of residence ( including my Phone number) .

I am not a moderator, I do not need to prove I am free of bias and external influences . As long as they hide their true identity they are open to that and more. Specially given the actions of some of them

Ah as to my picture: I wouldn't submit anyone to the torture of seeing me. LOL LOL LOL : Suffice to say : I am uglier than original sin. :) :) :) Imagine a behemoth 6 feet tall, 380 pound in weight and balding.... Yikes : I have even scared myself. :P

PS So I take it your real name is Mr. Feet First and that you look like a strand of protein. :)

Yes I would repeat and repeat until you got over the needless guilt you carry if the context was correct, it is the ONLY word that explains a certain behaviour (afaik). I have looked since for others, there are none I can see.

This is my language, it is not my fault that part of it offends Germany.

In other languages there are words that mean swear words in English, that I may find insulting until I know their meaning and context. I don`t carry on about them especially knowing it is a foreign language!

Yeah some words like irrational can be considered offensive by some of the international non-German friends.

Saenger: also words like cheats are insulting.

It has nothing to do with guilt, especially not personal, but with definition of words. There is just one definition of this word in Germany, every other (broader) definition is usaully meant to marginalize the deeds by the perpretators and bad as such.

Perhaps it's a bit like the pope speach in Regensburg, that was perhaps also not even just a wrong choice of wording but the muslims just got hold of the wrong end of the stick. But it was percepted as an insult, and so the pope has to deal with it and be more careful in the future. He's done so, and most have accepted it (besides some non-adaptive fundamentalists).

Imho it's OK now for you to use it with all the statemants you made afterwards, but initially it had to be taken as an insult.

Do you accept that a lengthy explanation is necessary for any german (and probably italian as well) to see it this way?
As just the one word alone it's not taken as what you seem to see it.

I agree.

And as a white male in the U.S. I would also be extrememly offended to be called a slavedriver.

I do not mean by this post to take sides on this argument - I believe both sides have very good points, but a little sensitivity would go a long way on both sides.

There are some very constructive things that have been put forward my nearly everyone involved, but I'm getting tired of slogging through namecalling and atempts to incite in order to find those constructive bits.

Many people involved have calmed down and focussed on the actual issues at hand. Others should take a hint from those on their own side of the issue and those who oppose them.

On the issue of mod annonymity, I don't see how it could hurt anyone to reveal their team and normal handle - BUT ONLY IF EVERYONE COOLS OFF a little more. Otherwise, it simply opens them to attack under two separate handles and prevents them from contributing opinions or ideas as normal participants.

This is well off topic now and going backward, if you`ll note from my previous posts I even sub consciously starred out parts of the word.

In the context I originally used it, as an adjective to descibe behaviour, it was correct.

If every word that anyone found insulting were declared null and void our conversations would be very dull indeed.

Gay ...Churchgoers don`t like
Church...Gay`s don`t like
Wood...Several meanings
And as a white male in the U.S.
I find that offensive...Why does being white make a difference. Arab`s drove slaves, as did African tribes.

The whole world is trying to become too politically correct, for those people I ask not to come to the East End of London or into the South East of England. We even greet our friends by terminology that you would find offensive.
Not all Czech`s bounce but I`d like to try with Barbar ;-)

This is my 1st post in a long time and probably one for another long time.

Named Mod's are not needed, maybe the project wishes them to be just blank people that way no personal abuse can be thrown at the they can't be traced to other projects to be abused there too.

Finally there is a small bunch of pathetic people currently using this forum to cause chaos and upset people, and the project.

Not mentioning names if you take offence to this then your one of them

I hope to come back in a few months to see these certain people gone or less in your face, funny how it is the same few over and over again
