I have noticed that the dowmload size of the WU's has gotting bigger into the MB's and killing me on dialup@36Kbps and running 3 computers. I do leave my connection up when i go to bed, and sometimes even after 8 hours i still dont have all my jobs downloaded. I know there are others out there using dialup and is there another way to get around all the big WU's.

Increase your WU runtime. The download size is the same, regardless of how long you crunch a WU. Read more here in the QA and heed the caution and make change only gradually as BOINC reflects each new runtime in it's estimated completion time.

By the way, the WU size has been into the megabytes as long as I can remember. In fact, they significantly reduced the size about 6 months ago. But yes, the size does vary depending on what they're trying to study.
