I`ve just replaced a Sempron 3100+ that was a hot runner with a 939 3000+, much cooler.

The X2 should solve your troubles !
Not all Czech`s bounce but I`d like to try with Barbar ;-)

Took the plunge.

NewEgg for the X2 3800+ and Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 Pro. $177.

$299 + $177 = ~ 475 for an Windoze X2 cruncher.

Still need to get some thermal paste though.

Hopefully will arrive by Monday or Tueday.

Converting a Yugo into a Porsche will require buying Porsche parts, piece by piece. You'll pay four times as much as just buying the Porsche outright. However, if you're just looking for a growth experience ... have fun.

The Porsche starts at $2,999 http://www.abs.com/app/config.asp?mono=1955. I used to love blowing doors off of Porsches with my Beetle. Besides, it is the best way to learn.

A few years ago, when it still made economical $enSe, I "rolled my own". Weren't necessarily the fastest ones on the block, but yeah, got the experience and pride from doing-it-yourself. (I guess thats what you say the first (and last!) time you fry a chip!).

Used to be you could also save a few dollar$ while gaining the experience.

Now, for a Windoze system, with M/S XP Home running at $200 off-the-shelf, I can see why it would cost four time more for a completed system!
