Hi,

I just registered on this project, and I noticed, that I got a new "Cross-project ID" (I'm already registered on some other Projects). Can someone tell me what happened?

BTW, does someone know, why the IDs in the Web-Interface are not the same as in the config files?

Thanks,

Jan

There are actually two CPIDs one is a raw number the other is hashed with your email address.

Ahh thanks,
I found it on this site.

Quote:" * When the BOINC Daemon sends an Scheduler Request Message to a Scheduling Server, it includes the greatest (in terms of numeric comparison) Cross-Project Identifier from among Projects with the same hashed e-Mail address.

Note: This method was depreciated at approximately Version 4.3x of the BOINC Client Software. Later Versions pass the oldest Cross-Project Identifier. This prevents the Cross-Project Identifier from changing when adding Projects. "

Thanks,

Jan
