andrea yates verdict: NOT GUILTY this is just my opinion but i think this is NUTS if this was the father that killed all his children or even just one he would be castrated and hanged if anyone knows of a case where the father killed his children and got away with it let me know with a link and the rich dont count obviousely this is a system where you can buy a not guilty verdict.again this is my opinion only.....im pissed

I read at http://bink.nu:
Paul Thurrott:....inside the software colossus, work continues toward an early September RC1 release for Vista. However, the build previously planned for RC1--build 5520--had two major problems, so Microsoft had to move on to a newer version--build 5536--for RC1. The company plans to ship build 5536 internally today...
Upgrading to Vista is not a good choice for users of XP if they don't have 1 GB or more of RAM and a high end video card. XP SP2 (and later SPs) will be supported through 2012. Support for XP SP1 ends 1 Ocotober 2006. Something else to consider is all of the XP software $$$ that I have which won't run on Vista.

If you are running SP1, one of the recent MS updates, MS06-042, opened a vulnerability while plugging others. Why anyone runs SP1 only is beyond my comprehension. <no flame> I just don't understand it.

I'm running R@h on one computer with Vista and it errors out R@h every time I restart the computer or look at it sideways. I'll be watching my mailbox in September for my RC2 CD.

Thanks for the outlet...

My computer named fad started having lots of client errors. To be sure that it wasn't Windows Vista causing the problem, I am now running Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I haven't had a client error since. Vista ran fine for several months, and the problem started on Vista after CASP7.

I pulled the plug on my son Steven's installation because he had client errors every day. I will reinstall BOINC on it when he has some PC 2700 memory instead of PC 3200. His FSB is 266.

I finally got a chance last Saturday to get my son Steven's AMD Athlon XP 2600+ crunching right. He lives about 15 miles from my home, and when I went to see him again late Tuesday his home air conditioner had quit. I checked it quickly and told him that it was the start capacitor or the compressor had locked down. He said it was under warranty, so I decided to not pursue it in the daylight on Wednesday...with proper tools. It was repaired Thursday morning and it was the capacitor. $135 wasn't a bad price, but I could have fixed it for under $25 a day earlier. I hope he remembered to restart his computer, because I had turned it off. Surprisingly, it was running at only 60 C with the room temperature at 95 F (Cooler Master). Steven's computer runs under the username Vester.

Steven knows. At one time we had only two computers and pooled our resources. He never looks at the stats or message board. Strange guy...

He gets free parts and support from me.
