Hi, here from Argentina - Buenos Aires, now is Winter seasons here, today we had a nice and sunny day.

Greg, I see your OS "Longhorn" but it seems your benchmarks are very low for a 3.4 GHz CPU

MFP: 1,447.79
MIS: 1,750.03

One of my computers is a P4@2.4 GHz and my benchmarks are:

MFP: 1,368.74
MIS: 5,151.07

Regarding gas price, here it is at USD 2.50 per gallon

Nice to meet you too

Greg, welcome to Rosetta! Your computer shows as having 2 CPUs, so you should be seeing two WUs crunched at a time.

Interesting. Compare your Longhorn ops/sec compared to my slower processor XP machine here.

        Mine Yours
        XP Longhorn
Ghz 3.00 3.60
F/ops 1517m 1448m
I/ops 2195m 1750m

Hey Lead Head here from Rhode Island USA, gas prices sittin around 2.95-3.09 per gallon. Just got back from camping...

Just the other day i was looking for my max OC, hit around 2.3GHz, the stock is 1.8, I have a cruddy clocking Athlon 64 3000 winchester core. My RAC is a tad low at the moment because i was on another team for a bit under a different user name, and now have switched back

The only "nut" in the description of my lawn, was me BUYING the place! I've got about 4 acres of lawn! Considering the extreme lack of rain we've had, I'd say it's not lookin' too bad. (Keep it long, so it doesn't burn up; and when you mow, take off no more than 1/3rd of the blade length).

I finally completed assembly of a lawn sweeper. You pull it behind a riding lawnmore... wouldn't it make MORE sense to sweep up the sticks BEFORE they hit the mower deck? :)

...more-or-less as expected... it doesn't do a great job picking up the sticks, which was the primary reason for it's purchase. But boy does the grass look cool when it's all been brushed nice :)

It's got a longer list of excuses for NOT picking up sticks... the stick was partially outside the width of the broom, the stick was partially stuck in the ground (because you have to run over it with the mower before it reaches the sweeper :), the stick wasn't at the proper angle for the sweeper to pick up, the sweeper was going too slow, and so it just pushes the sticks ahead of itself rather than pulling them in to the hopper.

Oh well! It DOES beat all the walking around and bending over and carrying a garbage can full of sticks around the lawn. Just hope my ole mower holds out. It seems to have an oil leak somewhere. And I NEED that mower to vaccuum up the leaves this Fall! I actually have another rider for the actual mowing, but it's got rearweel steering, so not a great idea to two things with it if you plan to make any turns!

We haven't had any problem with the squirrels. There seems to be enough acorns to go around (the lawn is covered in oaks). It's the COONS that come after the bird feeders :( I understand that bloodmeal can detour them, so of course, each day I put some out, it rains! HEY! I many be on to something there! Cash washes will be lining up at the door to pay be to put down bloodmeal again. I don't know if it works yet. Hoping others know how to detour coons.

Yes, we've had vists from a youngster too. He seems completely without fear of us... and that's a problem! I'd prefer wild animals to be easily spoked and run away, and the babies just seem to barely even notice my light switching and growling and stomping.

I posted some photos to Yahoo, so I don't lose them next time my PC crashes :)

My yard pics
My river pics
My wildlife pics

We're thinking of calling the place "violet oaks", because we have both in abundance. What do you think?
