Yesterday I had a similar problem as described in another post on here, screensaver hung after password entered. After a manual reboot, relaunching BOINC it said "running." When I looked at the graphic image, it was stuck at some percent I do not recall. I closed BOINC a couple times and restarted it, kept using UPDATE which didn't seem to do anything. Eventually after 3 or so shutdown/restarts it went back to working and the % completed again started to rise.

Today however, I have restarted BOINC several times yet the project remains at 1.001%. The graphics have changed a bit in the time since I last restarted, but not much. It lists status as "Relax." When I first looked at it this morning, it was at 1.72%, and had been running for 3 hours~. Current run time 1~ hour.

I guess the question is... Is it normal to go such long periods of time and have no increase in the % completed? Should the graphic remain as a "still" for so long?

Thanks, apologies if this is answered elsewhere, I was unable to locate an answer myself :/

You may want to take a look at this FAQ. I think it may explain your issue. The short of it is that the Work unit will stay at 1% for quite a long time, before progressing depending on the particular type of work unit and protein. This is also somewhat dependent on the time parameter you have set in your preferences. In any case all work units will complete at least one model and that may take as long as 5-8 hours for a large protein. During that time the percentage will show some value less than 2%.
