Bad experience

You guys have made it very complex - so much so that it's difficult to make it work & understand. My (very new) PC found it hard to cope & so did I. The newsletter tonight prompted me to update my profile to "don't send anything to me". A worthy cause but too many issues for me to volunteer. Sooooooooo complicated. Once you understand it, you will see that a lot of what makes internet computing difficult are things that are in place to protect you and your PC from harm by hackers and viruses. Here in the BOINC Wiki are the best instructions for getting started with any of the BOINC projects. If you could explain a little about what you know and what you don't know, then I'm sure we can fill in the missing points. Here are some of the things that will help us to get you going: Are you running on a Windows PC? Have you run BOINC before or is that new to you? Is Rosetta showing up in the projects tab of BOINC? Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's.
