I am running Rosetta on three machines and one of them has a slew of WU with the status of Client Error. I run three other Boinc projects on that machine and I do not get that error message with them.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks

Stuart

Yes and I have not seen anything on this error. Here is what I found on the definition of the error.

Client error The result was sent to a client and an error occurred.

Thank you

Stuart,

There seems to be the possibility that there are a couple of problems. So, you are in the mode of telling the doctor on the phone, "me sick, want cure" and expect him to answer?

There are several threads discussing the ins-and-outs and it is tedious to repeat all the same things ... so, if you do not have one of the problems already discussed, give us more to work with ... and I know the wiki has more than that statement aobut clent error.

I just had 2 WU's do something kinda weird. I was going to Attach a Computer to another Project so I Suspended the Rosetta Project & Suspended both WU's that were running on the Computer from Rosetta.

When I finished Attaching to the other Project I noticed both Rosetta WU's were @ 100% Completion & Ready to Report. Neither 1 of the WU's were anywheres near being done, 1 was @ 1:30 Competion & the other @ 3:30 Completion.

So I reported them and checked the Computer Results & they both showed a Client Error for the WU's ... ???

This is common... They know about it, Rosetta does NOT like to be suspended. Somehow the save and restore functions are not reliable. This extends to being removed from memory to crunch other projects. Rosetta is more reliable when left in memory (yea I know its huge, over 100Meg sometimes).. or running as the sole project.

Well it may be Common but it's the first time it's happened to me. About the only problems I've had so far are those WU's getting Stuck @ either 1% or 91% ...
