I also hope that the problem will be resolved quickly. In my team, 5 members disappeared with their accounts.
One can only hope that no more accounts disappear and that the old accounts are repaired.

Event log date/time stamps are set by the system PC clock.

If Dan and Kijik could post their UTC offset (eg- I'm in Darwin NT Australia- UTC +09.5hrs), so we get a better idea of just when things turned to crap. And if others affected still have the Event log of that period could post when the issue first occurred, and their UTC offset, that would provide even more help.


boinc-process died around 11 Dec 2024 09:14hrs
It has nothing to do with the database (just Validators and assimilators) and has had issues for at least a year now.


The Server Status on the main page died 14 Dec, 20:01:58 the last reported update.
And on that page at the top of the Server Status is an interesting error-

Notice: Undefined variable: stats in /projects/boinc/rosetta/html/user/index.php on line 81
it looks like the User index is broken- and if a record isn't in the index, it doesn't exist when it comes to searching for it and accessing it. This gets my vote for the cause of all the missing accounts.

at l'AF we lost more than 250 accounts on the 13/12.

But apparently not mine, it seems I did something good in my past lives ?

I hope this can be fixed.

According to BOINC Stats, we lost 8,566 Users on the 14th.
As the Event logs posted show- it takes a while for the Stats to get to the Stats sites. The problem occurred some time on the 13th.

Of the 5 members of my team, 3 active ones have completely disappeared. Even the email traffic in the personal mail folder no longer exists, as if it had never existed.
