*please* can we have this working again :)

I think the MERGE HOST function was messing up and the link went away for DELETE. Until the MERGE is fixed (maybe a future server release?), is it possible to have just a DELETE host link (if there are no results associated with that host)?

Thanks for any help on this!

Unfortunately, I am told the functions are linked. But help is on the way. There is a new release coming that fixes the problem. I can't give you a specific date but it should not be long.

I will suggest that they turn on the feature for a few hours each week until they can get it fixed, but it really does kill the server performance, which causes people to have downloading issues.

EDIT: I just heard back from the System Administrator on this topic. The delete/merge computer function effects server performance so much that even turning it on for a short time would effectively take the servers down, and prevent normal project traffic so this is not an option. The new release of the BOINC server software is being tested in RALPH as I write this message. It is nearing the end of the test phase and assuming there are no issues that pop up, it will be deployed in the near future on Rosetta.

Please be patient for just a little while longer.

Ok, but could they at least remove stale WU's like this, so this computer will disappear?
