Hi I've decided to give Rosetta a go again. But am reluctant to do so with amount of memory VM tasks take. My PC has a 5950X CPU (16c/32t) and 128GB of RAM. IF I don't select a CPU runtime value in my options, Rosetta defaults to 8hrs. I then get a heap of VM tasks, and with 32 threads running, it soon eats up all my RAM and even some swap space on my drive. Is there a way to adjust how many threads are running for each VM task? So if I could select 2 threads per VM, I'd have 16 concurrent tasks, which I believe would take up less RAM. Currently I've selected a CPU runtime of 2hrs, and am just getting Rosetta BETA tasks, which is ok for now. I would like to crunch some VM tasks without using RAM over my physical limit and swap space. |

You can limit the amount of VM tasks using app_config.xml and run other tasks on the other cores, something like: <app_config> <app> <name>Application_Name</name> <max_concurrent>1</max_concurrent> </app> </app_config> Application_Name you will find in your client_state.xml. . |

Unless I am mistaken, but all are single core tasks only. |
