It must be very hot in Chile :) yes, we are in the middle of winter, but is still very hot! it hasn't rained yet...we are even thinking in a dry season.... There are very strict Australian Standards and requirements to do that. I'm also watched from the control room and there is a floor manager and three other camera operators too. All for the obvious reasons. So any interaction between on-air talent and crew is subject to scrutiny. Been there, done that, screwed it up ;-) I'll get free beer for life with that story though. I own the domain name 'surfingwithaliens.com' - it's not hosted anywhere so don't look for it, but there you are; you're looking for aliens and they can only see droopy flowers :) by the way, welcome ix!! Tiare.- I have always thought it was a waste of time listening out for aliens; far too many other useful projects to crunch for, Rosetta@home being a most obvious useful candidate. However, there is always that element of interest. I own a computerised telescope and am certainly interested in what is 'up there'. Maybe even aliens who can cure our diseases. So yes, it was just because I saw a drooping flower, which turned out to be a listening dish, and most importantly you being a big fan of "Contact". Some years ago I wrote a web site, and if you listen carefully you will hear 'contact' here.
